The course incorporates the nursing concepts of health patterns applied to the child with normal and alterations in health. Emphasis is on the needs of the child from one month to adolescence. This course is designed to assist students in developing expertise and in-depth understanding in the field of Paediatric Nursing. It will help students to appreciate the child as a holistic individual and develop skills to function as neonatal and paediatric nurse specialists. It will further enable the student to function as an educator, manager and researcher in the field of Paediatric nursing.
